Flat River Farms Pot Bellied Pigs

Our Miniature Pot Bellied Pigs pigs are Rascals! Hand raised, each one has a distinct personality of it's own.

Buckwheat is the 'boss' and is the father of the standard sized piglets. Crossing him with them results in a smaller sized easier to butcher pig for us and he takes it upon himself to visit the neighbors and befriend each and every one of them, Which isn't good for public relations. On the other hand it has introduced us to our neighbors on somewhat comical terms.

I do believe they think we're all nuts.... LOL

Spanky is the Romeo of the Pigpen! He is into or onto everyone! He is the father of our latest litter of potbellied piglets.

Laura and Mary are all over the place. Its hard to keep them penned up. Pigs are truly smart critters. If there is a way out they're going to find it. We're currently expecting litters from both of them in September.  It being their first litters, we expect to get two piglets from each of them.

There are changes planned for the pig population. We will be trading Spanky off for a new spotted female piglet in the next month or so, keeping peace in the pig pen and hopefully limiting Bucky's roving eye and wanderlust.

We're also moving the pig pen this year to the 'woods' to limit their exposure to the neighbors. At least they don't smell :) and the neighbors don't complain about them. But then it's hard to resist a pig that rolls over and lets you scratch his belly.

You can meet and visit the pigs in our photo album.

A happy pig is a MUDDY pig!

We'll announce here when we have babies if you're interested in obtaining one.
