Blue Tick Coonhounds & Beagles

We've moved the dogs
 to their own website...
Click Here to check them out online.

Our dogs are one of the most important aspects of our lives. Of all the breeds we have dealt with in our lifetime, nothing takes the place of our BlueTick Coon Hounds and Beagles.

We currently have 7 Coonhounds, and 4 beagles. We've assembled a photo album of pictures of some of our dogs. We hope you enjoy them. You can view them by clicking on the links below.

We currently have for sale 3 blue tick coonhounds. The were born March 9th, 2007 and are running and jumping of their own accord. They're running on natural instinct now and will be good dogs when someone takes the time to train them proper. They have good potential. I've seen them 'tree' our ring-tailed tiger stripped cat on top of our arbor and remain at the pole for 15 minutes..... .  I'm not sure how long they would have stayed there if my daughter hadn't come along and rescued the poor cat!

I'm no longer able to hunt the dogs due to a back injury that limits my ability to walk more than a short distances without great pain. That does not change the fact that I enjoy working with and raising the pups up till they are ready for the woods!

Since I'm not longer able to get to the woods and stay with their training has been neglected. We're currently holding off on breeding and have pretty much made up our minds to not breed the dogs without payment or deposit upfront. So many people see fit to 'promise' to pick up pups and then forget about them when it comes time to pay. $150 asking price is more than fair or so I thought...

None of the dogs have papers. Papers don't make a great dog. Good owners and trainers do. They are full blooded and both parents are on site. If you're interested, make me an offer.

I will not ship them. I'm not about to turn them over to an airline that doesn't give a sh*t if they arrive alive or not. I also will not sell the dogs to someone who can't give them the space they need to roam. These are NOT townhouse pets. They will not normally thrive confined to small spaces. They NEED to run. If you can provide them the space to run, or hunt them you can however keep them successfully as house pets. Mine stay in during extremely hot or cold weather... and they sleep inside at night when they chose too.

We currently house our dogs on 20 acres and have another 150 behind us where they are free to run. What we would like to see is someone who will take the pups and give them a forever home and will hunt them. They seek to please. They will run whatever you train them to run, but you will play hell breaking their natural born coon dog instinct!

If you're interested in being notified when the next breeding takes place and possibly purchasing a hound join our mailing list and I'll drop you a note when during the next season or when a litter is available. Don't forget to add me to your safe senders list. Joni@flatriverfarms.com
