It is always the busy season for us here. Spring brings with it babies, weeds and seeds :) Fall bring plenty of clean up and cold weather preparation chores!

Traditionally we grow a wide variety of North Carolina Native Plants as well as most of the foods we eat.

Every year we plant tomatoes, cucumbers, okra, squash, several varieties of beans for drying and eating fresh as well as pumpkins, melons and gourds for crafting.

Jams and Jellies come from our trees and vines, and pickles from our cukes. The animals are fed the excess, and love every minute of it!

Check back often. Updates are relatively inconsistent depending on the 'chore list' of the day and my ability to get around. If you want to be notified of updates to the site or pictures, join the email list to your left and we'll notify you when changes of any importance take place. Don't forget to add joni@flatriverfarms.com to your safe senders list or your spam blocker will most likely nuke the email.
